It’s a know fact that Americans suck at football compared to the rest of the world (REAL football, not your namby-pamby stop-every-few-yards, wear-full-body-armour football which is more like RUGBY). Actually, that isn’t entirely true, its only the men who suck – after all, the women’s team have won the Women’s World Cup twice (1991 and 1999). Anyway, this video shows the level at which they suck:

First off, while the flip-throw is a legal throw in according to FIFA (apparently the Cameroonian national team tried it, amongst others) it’s still a stupid one. Aside from that, I just gotta wonder about the kid in blue – when the rest of your team is so far away because they know it is going to be a long-range throw, why the hell do you stand so close to a ball which is about to hurtle towards you? To add to that, why then, once you’ve been whacked full-on in the face with another man’s ball (ahem) would you, after getting up and having a bloody nose, go back to the same spot? It just defies logic!
Still, its bloody hilarious.
