In a departure from our normal habit of featuring stories highlighting why exactly humans are in the process of screwing up everything, I’ve decided to feature a website. Not just any website though: one which will stand the test of time and could well end up changing things for the better!

The site I am talking about, of course, is the LOLCat Bible Translation Project. “Ew, lolcats, they’re so 2 years ago!” I hear you cry. Well I don’t care, this is what the Bible should be. Its humourous, entertaining, able to be understood by even the most retarded among us and it makes it blatantly obvious that it is indeed a work of fiction (I’ve always thought the Bible should come with a disclaimer on the front, something along the lines of ‘may contain nuts’).

What makes this site so great? Well, they have decided to translate the entire Holy Bible into lolcat language (aka lolspeak). God is replaced by Ceiling Cat (I’m sure you’ve already seen the picture) and Jesus has changed into Jebus – not the most massive leap I know, but meh. The thing which makes this so funny is that humour has been injected to every verse of the original Bible, for instance Psalm 23 (the one about ‘God is my shepherd’) starts off like this:

“Ceiling Cat iz mai sheprd (which is funni if u knowz teh joek about herdin catz LOL.)”

The project is incomplete as of yet, but by the looks of things the majority of work has been done so far. I would contribute myself, but reading the Bible makes my brain itch.
