A Jury has found the a hospital who looked at a patients rectum has not acted unlawfully. Brian Persaud, was attempting to sue a New York Hospital for “unspecified damages” after he went in for treatment for a head injury. This was caused by a wooden beam hitting his head. The jury found that the staff were not liable.

Persaud whilst in the emergency room refused the staff’s request for them to examine his rectum for spinal damage. Ignoring his plea the staff held the Mr Persuad down and during the commotion he hit a doctor. In response to this the staff gave him a powerful sedative so they could perform the examination.

Persuad has not worked since the accident. Bummer.
