Aussies are a unique culture – some say they take the best bits of British and American culture before stewing it with a few beers over a BBQ. Others say they’re completely insane and are just a bunch of convicts, so its horses for courses I guess.

Aside from this, they do have the odd good idea, like their newest solution to the politician problem (well, not that they exist in the first place, that is still under research and will probably involve a flamethrower). They have decided to introduce breath alcohol tests for their MPs when they vote on the kind of thing politicians vote on, i.e. stuff which affects everyone else and not them.

This is in a kind of response to the antics of Aussie MPs as of late, with one being caught at his office party dancing in his underwear, while another has a particular history of being a cock: he chased a fellow minister around the parliament, grabbing him before being held back by others and more recently pushing away a colleague who intervened in an argument he was having with another minister from the opposing party.
