Companies like Durex always have to be careful when they produce adverts – if they’re too explicit then they’ll be banned outright, but if they are too namby-pamby and beat around the bush, they will be seen as ‘not cool’ by young’uns (presumably ones who don’t mind ending up with a ball and chain, oops, sorry, a kid, for 18 years).
This is why this video is great. Admittedly you won’t be seeing it aired during daytime TV or before the dinnertime news, but it has that something about it which will stick in your mind so whenever you’re thinking about condoms, you’re bound to think of rabbits. And balloons. And squeaking.
Still wondering about the blue and orange balloon-rabbit-things though…
