Now before you all (well, all 3 of you) start complaining of homobashing, this is actually an apt title. Sacha Baron Cohen, of Ali G, Borat and Bruno fame, has been at it again by winding up the American rednecks in quite possibly the easiest way possible: with gay people.

If you have seen the Borat film, then you’ll remember the scene where he manages to incite hatred against himself at a rodeo by singing the US national anthem with his own lyrical twist, praising Kazakhstan with his god-awful singing voice. Well now he is filming a film based around Bruno, another of his characters who is an extremely camp homosexual fashion… thing.

It appears he arranged to disrupt a cage fighting event in Arkansas by planting both a wrestler and a member of the audience for him to challenge. When they went up onto the stage at the ‘Blue Collar Brawlin’ showdown, they squared up to begin the fight, no doubt to the woops and hollers of the baying crowd. But it took a sudden turn for the gay, when both wrestler and challenger stripped off to their underwear and began to caress each other with a lot of kissing.

The audience threw lots of stuff at them, including drinks and chairs, causing the two to run for their own safety through a side exit which had been arranged beforehand.

It wasn’t the first time this stunt had been pulled either – the previous day a similar thing had occurred in Texas. Cohen wouldn’t be drawn on the matter, no doubt to keep his cover so he can run around making fun of Americans a little bit more.
