This is one of those “you couldn’t make it up” stories. A man in Poland was recently arrested for putting up a sign warning vandals to stop vandalising the bus stop. I don’t know what sort of vandals they have in Poland, but I am pretty sure this kind of tactic has a pretty low success rate. One can’t imagine the young hooligans turning up to the bus stop and one of them going “oi lads, it says here please stop vandalising the bus stop….come on lets go home and watch the Simpsons instead”.

That said, it still does n’t detract from the absurdity of someone being arrested for trying to prevent criminal damage. It seems that the PC brigade have penetrated eastern Europe now.
