Theres enough people driving without driving licenses these days around the world. Whether they be under-age joyriders, banned drivers or just those who can’t be bothered to actually sit a test, they’re a pain in the backside for the rest of us. Usually.

What would you do if you found out that someone who had been entrusted with emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks for 20 years didn’t have a license? Well that is exactly what happened in Japan, and the guy has been sacked for it!

Apparently all this went unnoticed for all that time until a routine license inspection at his workplace, where he attempted to cover up his lack of driving credentials by using his father’s license. By covering up the picture with his hand. Flawless plan, that is…

Still, he didn’t ever crash and I assume he must have been good enough to do the job, being an emergency service driver isn’t exactly plain sailing.

Oh – and he did actually try to get a license, once upon a time. Until he failed the written test. Then he just… kinda gave up. That’s determination for you!
