In a follow-up to this article, the man who was selling his life on an eBay auction has finally sold it. The winning bid on the auction was for AU$399,300, around £192,000.
During the auction he had to put a registration system in place so that fake bids could be filtered out and ignored, with some of the hoaxers putting in amounts of over AU$2,000,000 (eBay, what a joy).
Even though he thought it would sell for more, he says he has no regreats and is going to go ahead as planned and not look back.
All this give me some ideas… Buy my girlfriend, anyone?
