Terror, panic, indeed, the entire nation’s safety was at risk when officials at a baseball game in Philadelphia discovered a package wrapped in duct tape which they couldn’t explain. So what they did was call in the bomb squad.

After they evacuated the entire stadium, the bomb squad got to work doing what they do best, that is, blowing stuff up. With a vengeance. When they had done this, they quickly realised that it wasn’t in fact a bomb or a chemical weapon threat that they had discovered, but a regular box of hotdogs.

As one official said, “I don’t see many hot dogs sold here with duct tape. We just did what we felt was appropriate.” And as a commenter said, “These bomb squad guys like blowing stuff up…”.
