Gordon Brown is an idiot, yes, granted, but it would seem that some of the people trying to petition against him and his government are even more stupid. The ones in question today are those opposing the 3rd runway at Heathrow Airport, and just like Fathers 4 Justice, their ideas for success seem to be based on ‘lets make an arse of ourselves, people will definitely listen then!’

So what did they try to do? Well, one of their members was in the Parliament building and when he went to shake hands with PM Gordon Brown, he managed to glue himself to the head honcho. Thats right, glue. Now, don’t get me wrong, gluing someone to something is great fun and amusing for everyone, except the person being glued, but that assumes you actually do it right in the first place.

Which is exactly what they didn’t do. The man only managed to glue himself to the PM’s jacket sleeve and after only 20 seconds, Brown was able to tear his hand off. Which only hurt the protester, not Brown himself. So, epic failure really – especially since they didn’t even think it serious enough to kick the guy out, allowing him to stay longer. Surely the sign of any truly successful stunt like this is to get chucked out?

When he did leave though, he then tried to glue himself to a railing outside 10 Downing Street. Which failed again, partly because he had run out of his precious glue and partly because the usual police officers just moved him on.

What a prat.
