Now, having  once been a student for a number of years, I have seen and heard of plenty of stupid episodes. However, I have not come across something as stupid as this for a while, a scholar swallowing his own door key.  Employers nowadays often complain that graduates cannot do basic arithmetic or cannot write coherently enough.  Perhaps instead of worrying over these matters, they should be more concerned at the levels of utter stupidity some of these “academics” display.
