You know the bit in Superman where he is dealing with some ne’er-do-well and afformentioned crim shoots a gun at our favourite confused pants wearer, only for the Man of Superness to catch the bullet between his teeth? Thought it was rubbish? Think again!

A couple in Croatia are counting themselves very lucky after a very close call with a pair of attackers who shot at them. Amazingly, both of them emerged (nearly) unscathed with a great deal of swagger about them after the bullet took the flukiest course in the history of ballistics.

It first grazed the woman’s cheek, before ricocheting off randomly towards her husband. If the fact that she managed to bounce a bullet with her cheek wasn’t enough, the thing then got halted by the man’s false tooth. He then spat it out which apparently put the wind up the attackers who promptly legged it.

Apparently the bullet lost a lot of its speed when it grazed her cheek, so I don’t know who is more super – the Woman with the Iron Cheek or the Man with the Steel Gums. Either way – a very lucky escape
