Old people. I’ve already offended someone somewhere, so the only way is down from here. Let me begin by stating that I think old people are wonderful, just as long as they don’t get in the way of the rest of us actually doing stuff (we’ve all been held up when we really don’t have the time to spare, only so some 85 year old can make the biggest decision of their day – which soup they should buy for lunch).

This is why this story is so amusing – a 90 year old found trundling along a busy 70mph road on his scooter. Only when a truck driver managed to stop the fella (at first, the old man simply tried to overtake the truck) did his joyride come to an end. The guy had only gone out for a newspaper too… God only knows what would have happened had he ended up on a motorway!

So, here is our Top Tip: watch out for speed demons on Mobility Scooters – dare to slow down, and they will take you.
