Two Australian Rules players are in hot water after they were found to be part of a group of 8 players who produced a video which is now garnering a hell of a lot of negative attention. They have been fined AU$5,000 for being part of it, but the content of the video and the furore surrounding it are just… well, bizarre.

The video itself shows them playing around with a rubber chicken, using it to simulate sex with a chicken carcass. Now, this is indeed immature but it isn’t exactly like they just teabagged the Pope – but people are sure acting as if they did.

The best part of it all is that some people have been voicing their opinions on the matter, labelling it as everything from ‘tasteless’ to ‘offensive to women’. Now maybe I missed a meeting here but last time I checked, women are not the same as chickens. Not in any way, shape or form. Notable lack of wings, beaks, feathers and so on. So how the hell is a video involving one rubber chicken and one very dead chicken in any way offensive to women?

The only reason I can think of is that some people just enjoy talking out of their arse.
